Penalties

The penalties for losing in ping pong can be severe...

Ping pong

Playing short-handed without US office champion Stallion, Cricket tries to defend US honor in a match against the greatest ping pong player to have ever graduated from Hunan University only to later come and work for Tonkin Replicas as a engineer. Sadly, he was not up to the match.

Some quick e-bay items...

A Schneider Foods Peterbilt (in custom box) here... Same guy is selling a Raceway and a Wal-mart unit... I don't see many Schneiders hit the market.

On an older note (and cheap at $0.99) someone has a couple CF trailers for sale... The old style rivet trailer made especially for CF (although used on a few different fleets)...

Rest in Peace Bill Goddard

Last month we learned Bill Goddard, president and founder of GCS (Goddard Construction) passed away. Under the meticulous, detail oriented guidance of Bill, GCS became one of the leading companies in large scale landscape design. He was well known for creating intricate waterfalls, pools, fountains, and even small lakes- having viewed several of the properties he did work on you begin to respect the tremendous creativity he brought to his field.

We remember Bill as a collector, a customer, and a friend. Bill maintained a fabulous collection of die-cast vehicles and was very active in the 1:87 vehicle market although his collection spanned a wide range of scales. In addition to his privately purchased collection, he also ran die-cast replicas featuring GCS' signature red and blue design. The models we know of include a 1:64 scale PEM T800 dump truck he had run in 2005, a Peterbilt day cab with XL lowboy, a Peterbilt Model 379 dump truck, and, more recently, both a Peterbilt Model 388 dump truck and a Peterbilt Model 388 day cab with Rackley lowboy. During our last visit to him, he lent me the book Line Haul, The Story of Pacific Intermountain Express. We still have it- the book copy now graces the lobby area at Tonkin Replicas Seattle office.

More Hats!
