090067 - Gypsum Wallboard Sterling Material Handler Truck with drywall load - Gypsum Wallboard Supply was opened in 1992 as a small, locally owned family business. They began with two delivery trucks, a 4000 square foot warehouse and a mobile office trailer. Today they operate a well maintained fleet of six boom trucks, four of which offer a 65 foot reach and four flat beds. They occupy over 22,000 square feet of warehouse space and enough outside storage to house one of the largest metal framing inventories of any drywall supplier in the Northwest.

090079 - V&H Sterling Material Handler Truck with drywall load - The Heavy Truck Division of V&H was founded in 1966 and is one of the largest Sterling and Western Star dealers in the United States. V&H has excelled with the philosophy that customers require a courteous professional staff, and a premier service facility that handles top of the line equipment and products. This is why nationwide corporations use V&H as their major supplier of trucks and equipment. The transportation specialists work around the clock preparing trucks and equipment to be ready on time. V&H trucks can be seen working across the country, from West Coast lumber yards and landfills, to the forests and farms of the Great Lakes Region, to factories and construction sites on the Metropolitan East Coast; V&H has trucks in the field working day and night.

090078 - Utility Inc. Sterling Material Handler Truck with drywall load - These trucks handle huge loads of construction supplies, and are easily identified by the Utility Inc. logo prominently displayed on the cab and the signature cherry red paint job!

090080 and 090081 - Sterling Material Handler truck with drywall load in White or Silver- In the construction business, the Sterling is famous for being the first truck developed to have a rear-tilting cab. Though it later adopted the traditional front-facing tilt, this advancement helped revolutionize construction and industry.

5 years later (and still the best)

It has been a long long time now since the development of Tonkin Replicas lowboy trailer.  Here is a photo from 2004 showing part of the product development.  I found this in the archives, and thought it was interesting.

Ads that didn't make it

At Tonkin Replicas a lot of ads get made.  Quite a few concepts, several of which end up on the cutting room floor never to see the light of day.  Here is one rejected ad example, produced for fun by a senior artist (who was apparently very hungry).

The original intent was to highlight the fact that Tonkin Replicas makes quite a few scales.  Each scale having a different market, different use, and different price point.
