Customized 1:53!
It is always fun to see product customized products. Here are some photos from California based collector Zach Zayas. Here is how he did it:
"I grafted a single axle rearend onto it to make a single axle with a little bunk. The trailers were scratch built and are basically the same as the Panella set I did before. The fenders are different, I painted the sides and belly's silver to look like raw aluminum, and I did two-tone tarps on this set (I used strips of white duct tape and stuck it on the blue fabric). On the truck, I cut the frame where the frame mounted step was originally and mated a single axle rearend from a TVT single axle truck and used the trailer parts from the flats it had to complete the hoppers. I made CB antennas for it and modified a set of turn-out straight stacks to aim them out to give it the "west coast" look."
Great job Zach! We love the extra details here that add a unique personality to this truck. Keep them coming! `
