Celebrating A Rich Corporate Heritage

As the nation’s leading retail propane company, Ferrellgas has bobtails that can be found all over - from the nation’s busiest interstate highways to the most remote country roads. They can be seen in residential neighborhoods, farm communities, and industrial parks. In other words, the vehicles are as versatile as the company itself.

Founded in 1939 as a small, family-owned propane company in Atchison, Kansas, Ferrellgas has grown to become one of the largest propane companies in the country. So when Ferrellgas wanted to create scale models to commemorate their long history, they turned to another company that’s both forward thinking and has a strong history of fine products, they called Tonkin Replicas.

Part of the meticulous research that went into creating these fine metal replicas included trips to Galveston, Wichita, Kansas City, Dallas and Seattle, and involved interviews with both historians and engineers. The resulting modern Kenworth T300 Bobtail and 1947 Chevrolet - with twin 700 gallon tanks - are wonderful examples of what can happen when two innovative companies collaborate.

Both of these fine replicas are available directly from Ferrellgas/NRG by calling (800) 288-8674.
