Recruiting Challenge.
Finding highly qualified, professional drivers that represent your company’s values can be an ongoing challenge for every major fleet. Robert Transport was innovative in its use of die-cast models to recruit drivers by cleverly printing their company phone number on the trailer roof where it was easily visible.
Rosario Robert, a determined and bold entrepreneur, founded the family business in 1945. He had the ability to adapt to his customers’ needs, who in turn gave him their ongoing support. That loyalty enabled him to build credibility in a strongly regulated industry. During the 1980s, the North American trucking industry plunged into deregulation. Claude Robert, the company’s innovative and visionary leader, invested in state-of-the-art technology and the company became a leader, providing services to the supply chain management industries.
Realizing their trucks are the primary public image of their company, Robert Transport partnered with Tonkin Replicas to make two different scale models.
The 1:87 scale ton models provide the perfect vehicle (pun intended) for Robert to reach prospective new drivers for recruitment. In an increasingly competitive market, it proved very successful in getting their message out. The 1:53 scale Precision Series reflects the elite quality that Robert has achieved.
